SIF: Suitability Is More Important Than Sophistication

A product may look sophisticated, but sophistication alone does not make it suitable. For investors, suitability should always come before attraction.

A SIF may be appropriate only when the investor understands the role, risk, cost, liquidity, and expected behaviour. It should fit into the portfolio rather than disturb the portfolio balance.

The best investment decision is not always the most advanced one. It is the one that fits the investor’s need with clarity.

Truvest Insight: Suitability is stronger than sophistication.
